I have recently returned to painting having taken a break of a few years.  The problem was that I couldn't think of anything I wanted to paint! So ceramics took over and the painting gear gathered dust.

Re-reading a book on the American Expressionists gave me the idea of combining my long held interest in their approach with my pots.  In particular with their surfaces.  This set me thing about painting again.

My work is an amalgam of acrylic paint/inks, pieces of fired clay, paper, cardboard and anything else I think might be included.  My interest in painting, if you can call it that, has been re-awakened.

Comments from others have been encouraging, but perhaps they are being "polite."  Time will tell!!!
